SixApart: Product Manager - Movable Type

Six Apart (www.sixapart.com) is growing and they're looking for a Product Manager for Movable Type, the world’s most advanced blogging platform. In this role, you will be responsible for understanding customer needs, maintaining the product roadmap, specifying and driving development of the platform and key applications and working with internal engineers and their developer network to keep the MT platform on the cutting edge.

The ideal candidate is passionate about customers, detail-oriented, analytical, loves technology and excels at building relationships and coordinating people to drive projects to completion.

Responsibilities

• Maintain the product roadmap.
• Translate customer and market needs into product requirements.
• Liaise with our developer and professional services communities to both receive and give guidance on the platform roadmap and key functionality.
• Collaborate with UI designers, developers, QA, operations and marketing to drive new features and applications to market successfully.
• Work closely with engineers to specify and scope features and understand and optimize functionality / time-to-market tradeoffs.
• Track and report on key business metrics and user behavior patterns to drive customer-centric product design decisions.

Requirements

• 4+ years of experience in delivering software products, ideally web-based services
• Strong analytical, technical, verbal and written communication skills
• BS/BA in a technology or business-related field
• Desirable

• Experience with blogs and blog software
