Prefab.com is looking for a blogger to cover prefab and modular homes.
Prefab homes are back. They get built faster and on a predictable schedule, with the potential for higher quality and lower cost.
Must be interested in this market (otherwise you'll be bored!), but no specific experience is required. Must enjoy learning new things, and writing informative articles about relevant topics.
About half of the job involves blogging, i.e. following the industry and linking to daily news. A picture for each blog post is encouraged, e.g. from Flickr (with permission), free photo sites, or vendors.
The other half of the job is "web researcher and writer". We want prefab.com to become the #1 source of information on prefab and modular homes, with "how to" articles, descriptions of different types of prefab, real case studies and homeowner stories, information about the people, companies and products in the industry, original interviews, and more.

We're looking for a part-time employee, roughly 20 hrs/week at $12/hr. (Alternative compensation proposals are welcome.) There may be an opportunity for more hours, e.g. a burst of activity in the short-term, and then again in the future as traffic grows.
Must be able to write well, with careful attention to spelling and grammar. Must be able to deal graciously with feedback, both internal and external. Must have very high quality standards, and the desire to educate and inform.
To apply, please tell us why you think this job is a good fit. NO ATTACHMENTS. If you want to send something that's not posted on the Web, include a short description in the email and we'll get back to you.

I am a published writer with many of my articles sold to doityourself.com because I have an ability to break things down and help people easily understand and gain knowledge about various subjects. I also keep several blogs of my own.
