Online Forum/Blog Writer Needed (palo alto)

Palo Alto-based startup seeks Internet user to help spread information about our new consumer empowerment service. We are looking for the right person to publicize our pro-consumer service by providing a helpful presence in several Internet communities. You will visit these communities and interact with them honestly using good “netiquette” while helping to answer questions by community members. You may also help us with some viral marketing through other Internet forums. We are focused on good ethics and want somebody who can communicate our message ethically and effectively.

The startup is managed by entrepreneurs with Harvard, Yale, and Stanford backgrounds. We have an exciting service ready to launch and need the right person to help us. You will become an essential part of our marketing team.

We are looking for somebody who is familiar with Internet forums, message boards, and blogs. You don’t need any particular degree or professional experience. You must be responsible, professional, ethical, and help us convey the right tone for the project. You must be able to work on reasonable deadlines and deliver as promised. We’ll give special consideration to somebody with demonstrated creativity, parenting experience, or especially deep experience in online communication.

We’re estimating that we’ll need about 30 hours of work from early November through December. If the marketing campaign is fruitful then we may be interested in extending our relationship.

You set your own hours. You may work from wherever you like so long as you can make an occasional meeting in greater Palo Alto. We are open to flexible arrangements.
